Terms of Service

Trust Squared (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an online platform that facilitates connections between experienced professionals (“Contributors”) and organisations seeking expert human feedback for AI training and evaluation purposes.

These Terms of Service govern your use of trust-squared.site and any services offered through it. By submitting an application or using this platform, you (“Applicant” or “Contributor”) agree to these terms in full.

To apply to become a contributor you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
• Be a resident of the United States or the United Kingdom
• Possess genuine professional expertise in your stated field
• Provide truthful and accurate information in your application
• Have the legal right to work as an independent contractor in your country of residence

We reserve the right to verify any information you provide and to reject applications that we believe contain false, misleading, or incomplete information.

If approved as a contributor, you will work as an independent contractor, not an employee of Trust Squared. Nothing in these terms or any contributor agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Trust Squared.

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for:

• Paying all applicable taxes on income earned through the platform, including self-employment taxes
• Maintaining your own equipment, software, and internet connection
• Determining your own working hours within any task deadlines set by the platform
• Complying with all laws applicable to your status as a self-employed individual

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. We review all applications at our sole discretion, considering factors including the accuracy of information provided, the depth of expertise demonstrated, and current platform capacity.

We will notify you of the outcome of your application via the email address you provided. The review process typically takes 3 to 5 business days. We are not obligated to provide reasons for a rejection.

You represent and warrant that all information you provide in your application and in any ongoing dealings with Trust Squared is true, accurate, current, and complete. You agree to promptly update any information that becomes inaccurate.

Providing false or misleading information — including misrepresenting your qualifications, credentials, or identity — may result in immediate removal from the platform and may be referred to relevant authorities where appropriate.

Any work product, annotations, evaluations, feedback, or content you produce as part of your contributor activities (“Work Product”) is created under a work-for-hire arrangement. All intellectual property rights in Work Product vest in Trust Squared (or the relevant platform partner) upon creation.

You retain no rights to reproduce, publish, or otherwise use Work Product outside of your contributor duties. You grant Trust Squared a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and sublicense any Work Product for any purpose related to AI training, evaluation, and development.

During your time as a contributor, you may be exposed to confidential information belonging to Trust Squared or its platform partners, including but not limited to AI models, training methodologies, task specifications, and internal processes. You agree to:

• Keep all such information strictly confidential
• Not disclose it to any third party without prior written consent
• Use it only for the purpose of completing assigned tasks
• Return or destroy confidential materials upon request or at the end of your engagement

This confidentiality obligation survives the termination of your relationship with Trust Squared.

Compensation rates, payment schedules, and payment methods will be communicated to approved contributors prior to commencing work. Rates vary by task type, expertise level, and partner requirements. Trust Squared does not guarantee any minimum volume of work or earnings.

Payment is conditional on the satisfactory completion of tasks as assessed by Trust Squared or its platform partners. We reserve the right to withhold or adjust payment for work that does not meet quality standards, subject to fair dispute resolution.

You agree not to:

• Provide false, fabricated, or misleading information in any application or task response
• Use AI tools or automated software to complete tasks unless explicitly permitted
• Share, sell, or transfer your contributor account to any other person
• Attempt to circumvent any security measure or access restriction on the platform
• Interfere with the operation of the platform or other contributors' activities
• Engage in harassment, discrimination, or any unlawful conduct in connection with the platform
• Use the platform or Work Product for any purpose other than as expressly permitted

Either party may terminate the contributor relationship at any time for any reason with reasonable notice. Trust Squared reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate access immediately, without notice, in cases of:

• Breach of these Terms of Service
• Provision of false or misleading information
• Conduct that poses a risk to the platform, other contributors, or partner organisations
• Failure to maintain required quality standards after fair warning

Upon termination, all outstanding and undisputed compensation owed for completed work will be paid within 30 days.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trust Squared shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or participation as a contributor, including lost income, loss of data, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the total compensation paid to you by Trust Squared in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (for UK-based contributors) or the laws of the State of Delaware (for US-based contributors), without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under the rules of the relevant arbitration body in the applicable jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
